Birdata is the most convenient and efficient method of contributing to these programs. Register to use Birdata. Everyone is required to sign up for a BirdLife username to access the new web portal and app, including existing Birdata users. Click on the Sign Up button at the top of the page or ‘Create a new account’ in the app


The portal has replaced previous versions of Birdata in 2016, but don’t worry: all of your existing data has been transferred across. To take advantage of this Birdata revolution, all you need to do is register for a BirdLife Australia username. This is really important, old Shorebird login details do not work on the Birdata platform.
